Worried about moving with the spread of Covid-19?

The alternatives are daunting – where to find labour, buy boxes, get a trailer or hire a truck, safely? We have been moving those most vulnerable to contracting the disease for over 50 years.

We call our service ‘Distanced Moving’. One of our directors is a qualified, practicing hygiene auditor, so we know how to implement solutions, protect ourselves, and our clients. We implemented our Covid-19 preventative measures before lockdown, and comply with all regulations fully. You pack your over-night bags and valuables and whether you want to watch us from a distance or not, we’ll do all the packing, heavy lifting, transporting, unloading and placing of furniture and boxes.

Because only two crew members are permitted in the cab of the vehicle, a manager transports the rest of the crew and supervises your move personally.

This is how we protect ourselves and our clients:

  • Isolated accommodation, home-fetch or lifting arrangements (no public transport)
  • Laser thermometer and contact screening on collection / arrival at premises
  • Continuous use of cloth masks with built-in filter and ventilation of vehicle and space interiors (we prefer the cold)
  • Continuous use of hand sanitizer and 2m distancing wherever possible
  • Aggressive education for our people and their families, with additional crew members in training
  • No-contact fuelling, supply of packing/wrapping materials, etc.
  • Daily sanitisation of all equipment on return to our warehouse

Optional additional measures:

  • Packing service conducted with face-masks, visors and gloves, with continuous sanitisation
  • After-move sanitisation of all surfaces, floors, door-handles, etc.

Being very aware of the residual risks associated with Covid-19, we will customise your move and work with you to ensure your safety, we are open to discussions regarding your specific needs and additional measures that can be put in place for your peace of mind.
